District to Ask Voters to Fund Recreation Center in November of 2026

After working with Magellan Strategies to conduct public polling of registered voters within the District to assess community interest in funding for a recreation center, the Board has decided to proceed with the initiative. The survey process resulted in over 770 responses, with 52% expressing strong or likely support and 38% expressing strong or likely opposition, 10% expressed that they are undecided. The survey data has a margin of error of +/- 3.5% and a confidence level of over 95%. Board President Kelly Moffatt stated at the Board's Special Meeting on November 25th that based on the survey results, he believes the District has a duty to put the question before residents and allow them to decide if a recreation center should be pursued. The District will now begin to work on informing residents of the many benefits that a recreation center will bring to the community as well as the costs to get it all done. If you are passionate about a community recreation center and want to become involved in a community campaign to assist in ensuring voters have all the information needed to make an informed decision next November, please reach out and join our efforts.
