Your Instructor:

Rosemary has been active and successful in the sport of dogs for over 25 years. Her dogs have earned over 80 AKC titles in obedience, rally, conformation, tracking and agility.  Rosemary prefers to speak with owners prior to registration to ensure your dog is in the correct program.

Canine Capers programs do not permit aggressive dogs to participate. Pit Bull breeds and pit bull mixes are specifically prohibited from participating. The instructor reserves the right to exclude any dog that she believes may not be appropriate for a class. Bring your dog to class on a collar and a 4 ft or 6ft leash (no retractable leashes, no body harnesses) along with some small, soft treats such as hot dog slices or cheese.

Course Descriptions

Basic Beginners Obedience

This course is designed to teach your dog good manners in the form of some basic commands. You will teach your dog to walk on a leash under control without pulling, to sit, lie down, stand, and to come when called. (For dogs 5 months and older). 

Starting Date: Monday January 5, 2026

Time: 12 pm-1 pm 

Cost: 6-weeks, $150.00

Rally Courses

INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE/NOVICE RALLY COURSE

This course builds on skills learned in Basic Beginners Obedience course.  We will cover turns, recalls, stays with distance and distractions, Figure 8 exercise and the finish exercise.  We will cover the Novice Rally Signs and we will have fun with Beginner Rally courses.

Starting date: Wednesday January 7, 2026

Time: 12:00pm-1:00pm

Cost: 6 weeks, $150.00

ADVANCED RALLY COURSE

Building on skills learned in Intermediate, we continue to learn skills for Rally Advanced. Approval by the instructor is needed to register.  

Starting Date:  Monday January 5, 2026

Time: 1:00pm-2:00pm

Cost: 6 weeks, $150

EXCELLENT/MASTER RALLY 

Builds on Advanced Rally Skills

(Instructor permission is required for this class except for students who were enrolled in the current session)

Cancelation and Late Registration Practices:

Program registration fees due in full at time of registration.

Late fees:

Late Registration; additional $10 per registration if paid beyond end of registration period, provided there is space in the program.  If no space is available in the program, late registrations will not be accepted.

Individual request for refund; Full refund given up until registration close date less 10% processing fee. After registration close date, cancelation fee is $15.

After first class / session, no refunds will be given. Refunds may be provided as account credit based upon customer preference.

Account Credit is non-refundable after processing.
