With Passage of 5A, District Begins Preparing for Park Improvements
The Board of Directors and staff at EPR want to thank the Elizabeth Community for your support of continued funding for the District. As a result of this continued funding, the Board is now hard at work planning a variety of park improvements for 2018 and beyond, including a splashpad! The Board has also elected to pay off the District’s debt this December, a year earlier than scheduled, and will save over $4000 in interest payments. Thanks again to all the voters who believed that parks and recreation programming are important factors impacting the quality of life in the Elizabeth Community. As the stewards of your parks and recreation programs, we look greatly forward to being fiscally responsible with your tax dollars and responsive to your expressed needs and desires!

Helping our Feathered Friends
.Cole Morse, a local scout, recently installed a bunch of bird houses along the trail in Evans Park as a service project, and we wanted to be sure to give him a big shout out while encouraging everyone to take a look the next time they are at the park. The bird houses were installed along the trail by the pond. THANKS COLE!!!
Our goal for our youth sports programs are:
All youth are expected to have equal opportunities to participate, regardless of their skill or abilities.
We rely on community involvement for volunteer coaches and the programs would not be possible without them. We expect that all coaches, players, parents, and spectators consistently demonstrate positive behaviors and refrain from shouting at or disrespecting officials, becoming hyper competitive, or in any other way diminishing the positive sports experience which we believe all children are entitled to.
We are here to have fun and celebrate the simple joy of play!

Code of Conduct:
At Elizabeth Park and Recreation we believe in instilling a positive attitude, teaching basic fundamentals, building confidence, and sharing our love of play with youth. We believe play is a vital right for all youth and helps develop physical, emotional, and social growth. Our programs emphasize participation, fun, and sportsmanship over winning and we strongly discourage the hyper competitiveness that negatively impacts many youth sport programs. All coaches, players, parents, officials, and program administrators will demonstrate respect for each other as well as the game at all times. Participants, parents, and coaches are expected to support this system.
