Seasonal Park Technicians
We are now hiring summer seasonal Park Technicians to assist with park maintenance operations including mowing, weed trimming, landscaping, preparing athletic fields, and light trades work. Do you have an expertise in a particular recreational or leisure activity that you would like to share with the community? The District is currently seeking individuals who can teach / instruct any of a variety of activities such as art, music, dance, and other areas that may be of interest to the Elizabeth Community. The Sports Official is responsible for officiating youth and / or adult sports programs. Sports Officials are the front-line staff in working directly with coaches and program participants in delivering high quality customer service through the District’s sports programs. Sports Officials receive guidance and supervision from the Programs and Special Events Coordinator or designated Site Supervisor and at times the District Executive Director. The position is expected to work Saturdays during the youth sports seasons, and additionally during the evening times during the baseball and softball seasons.
To become a Sports Official with The Elizabeth Park & Recreation District you must complete Sports Official Training. Please contact Park Office for information about the next Training Session.

Helping our Feathered Friends
.Cole Morse, a local scout, recently installed a bunch of bird houses along the trail in Evans Park as a service project, and we wanted to be sure to give him a big shout out while encouraging everyone to take a look the next time they are at the park. The bird houses were installed along the trail by the pond. THANKS COLE!!!
With Passage of 5A, District Begins Preparing for Park Improvements
The Board of Directors and staff at EPR want to thank the Elizabeth Community for your support of continued funding for the District. As a result of this continued funding, the Board is now hard at work planning a variety of park improvements for 2018 and beyond, including a splashpad!The Board has also elected to pay off the District’s debt this December, a year earlier than scheduled, and will save over $4000 in interest payments. Thanks again to all the voters who believed that parks and recreation programming are important factors impacting the quality of life in the Elizabeth Community. As the stewards of your parks and recreation programs, we look greatly forward to being fiscally responsible with your tax dollars and responsive to your expressed needs and desires!
