Program Instructors

Do you have an expertise in a particular recreational or leisure activity that you would like to share with the community?  The District is currently seeking individuals who can teach / instruct any of a variety of activities such as art, music, dance, and other areas that may be of interest to the Elizabeth Community.  Please contact Rebecca Miller, Programs and Special Events Coordinator at 303.646.3599, or Rebecca@elizabethpr.com for more information or to discuss your idea. 


Seasonal Park Technicians

We are now hiring summer seasonal Park Technicians to assist with park maintenance operations including mowing, weed trimming, landscaping, preparing athletic fields, and light trades work.  Must be at least 16 years of age.  Must be willing to work varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Contact the Park Office at 303.646.3599 for more information or to apply.

Disc-Golf Course

A new disc-golf course is being developed within Evans Park and will be available for use by Spring!  The Park Office will have sets of discs available (during business hours) for use by anyone wanting to try this challenging and fun activity.  Any experienced disc-golfers interested in assisting with course design, please give us a call at 303.646.3599.   .

Sports Officials

The Sports Official is responsible for officiating youth and / or adult sports programs.  Sports Officials are the front-line staff in working directly with coaches and program participants in delivering high quality customer service through the District’s sports programs.  Sports Officials receive guidance and supervision from the Programs and Special Events Coordinator or designated Site Supervisor and at times the District Executive Director.  The position is expected to work Saturdays during the youth sports seasons, and additionally during the evening times during the baseball and softball seasons.


To become a Sports Official with The Elizabeth Park & Recreation District you must complete Sports Official Training. Please contact Park Office for information about the next Training Session.

Playground Improvements

The Park Board has allocated funds for 2018 to improve the playground at Casey Jones Park.  In addition to replacing the pea gravel surfacing with playground mulch, new pieces of equipment will be added including an Aztec Climber, Standing Spinner, and an Inclined Vortex Net.
