With Passage of 5A, District Begins Preparing for Park Improvements

The Board of Directors and staff at EPR want to thank the Elizabeth Community for your support of continued funding for the District. As a result of this continued funding, the Board is now hard at work planning a variety of park improvements for 2018 and beyond, including a splashpad! The Board has also elected to pay off the District’s debt this December, a year earlier than scheduled, and will save over $4000 in interest payments.  Thanks again to all the voters who believed that parks and recreation programming are important factors impacting the quality of life in the Elizabeth Community.  As the stewards of your parks and recreation programs, we look greatly forward to being fiscally responsible with your tax dollars and responsive to your expressed needs and desires!

Helping our Feathered Friends

.Cole Morse, a local scout, recently installed a bunch of bird houses along the trail in Evans Park as a service project, and we wanted to be sure to give him a big shout out while encouraging everyone to take a look the next time they are at the park.  The bird houses were installed along the trail by the pond.  THANKS COLE!!!

There are two baseball / softball fields in Evans Park and each has lights and a scoreboard.  There are also two multi-pitches which are used for soccer as well as football and other activities as needed. All athletic fields are available for public use when not being used or permitted for programs or private activities.  To permit a field, contact the Park Office.  Please do not use fields when they are marked closed as occasional weather or maintenance may prevent them from being available to the public.

Our Main Office is located at Evans Park. With beautiful views of the valley in spring, summer and fall, Evans Park is a regional attraction that is ideal for special events and family / group functions or just some good outdoor fun. In the winter time our west soccer field is ideal for sledding.

Dogs are welcome anywhere in the park except on the sports fields. Please keep your furry friend leashed at all times and please clean up after them in all areas of the park.

Scott’s Pond: Scott’s Pond is a small fishing pond stocked with trout annually by the Colorado Department of Fish and Wildlife.   Fishing licenses are required and the pond is regulated by  Colorado State Wildlife rules and regulations. Please be considerate at all times to your fellow pond users.  Absolutely no wading or swimming is permitted in the pond. In the winter months please stay off the pond as well due to thin ice.

Skate Park: Comprised of metal ramps / rails arranged on approximately 3000 foot of concrete, the skate park may be used anytime during daylight hours.  The District encourages all users to wear helmets and appropriate safety gear.  Skateboards, bikes, scooters, and in-line skates are all permitted.  Please read and follow all skate park rules posted on site and notify the District of any maintenance needs.

The Snack Shack sells common food and concession items during many busy days in the park and is typically open on Saturdays during regular sports seasons.
