Please Pick-Up Your Dog Waste.

As you will notice, the District has installed new pet waste stations throughout the parks.  While we love dogs as much as you, please help keep the parks clean of dog waste and pick up after your pet.  And remember, no dogs are allowed on athletic fields.  Thanks for your cooperation. 

Prickly Pines Disc Golf Course - NOW OPEN

A 9-hole disc golf course in Evans Park is now open and ready for play!  Designed by locals Cameron Burrow and Jeremy Priest, the course offers challenges for players of all abilities.  We have discs at the park office Mon - Fri from 9-5 available for use for a small fee.  Click on the course link under the "Parks & Facilities" tab to learn more. 

Rodeo Grounds

Casey Jones has a rich history as old as the Town of Elizabeth. It has been used since the early 1900's for town dances as well as many other events. The rodeo grounds have been host to many rodeo events

The Snack Shack sells common food and concession items during many busy days in the park and is typically open on Saturdays during regular sports seasons.

The ball fields within Casey Jones Park are the home to the District’s adult softball leagues and may be used by the public when not permitted for District programs or private events / functions. Both fields have lights, and the outfields can be used for soccer, football and other activities as needed. Contact the Park Office to permit fields.

Casey Jones RV Hideaway

The Casey Jones Pavilion is a historic structure within Casey Jones Park that has been used for community events and functions for over 100 years. With a maximum occupancy of 100, the Pavilion has a raised stage, restrooms, a bar area, and can be used for small weddings, corporate functions, or family events.   The Pavilion hosts a community concert series during the late summer / early fall as well as the Elbert County Trading Post on some Saturdays throughout the year. Contact the Park Office to check availability for your next event.  

​Set within beautiful Ponderosa Pines, Casey Jones RV Hideaway is a perfect spot to park your camper or pitch your tent and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere right here in Elizabeth, CO. We offer 25 RV sites with 50 amp service and water and have a dump station on the grounds as well as seasonal restrooms. The campground is open year round. Tent camping is also available during the summer / fall season.  ​

Two horseshoe pits are located at the south west corner of the baseball fields on the other side of the parking area.  These amenities are open for public use, just bring your own horseshoes and have fun! The area can be permitted for private events / functions. Contact the Park Office for more information or to check availability.

Youth Tackle Football

Tackle Football in Elizabeth is back this fall for all youth in grades 3-6.  Registration is now open and the season will run from early September through late October, with practices beginning in early to mid-August.  Registration may be ended once teams are full, so register early to secure your child's spot.  Each player receives a game jersey and pants with registration and is responsible for providing all other needed personal gear.  Registration fee is $100.

​The rodeo grounds have been used since the early 1900’s for “cowboy” events. It is the venue for The Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo that is held every year in early June. It has been host to many other events to include Dog shows, Celtic events, Mounted Ranger training etc. Contact the Park Office to check availability for your next event.  ​
